Paper Hammer Studios is a design and production studio based in Tieton, a small town in Central Washington. Their line of greeting cards, notecards, chapbooks, journals, planners, notebooks, accordion and photo albums, posters, tags, boxes, and professional accessories is handcrafted by a skilled local team of craftspeople from quality papers, binding board, and book cloth.
Paper Hammer freely merges the best of 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries graphic technology. With (literally) tons of heavy equipment - three letterpresses, a 1920s Smyth Stitcher, a century-old book press, wood and lead type - the by-hand methods of 1970s graphic design, and current digital tools, they create their signature remix of old-new, urban-rural, and orchard-industrial.
